Avukat Ebru Timtik’in Ölümü (29 Ağustos 2020) Adil Yargılama talebiyle başlattığı açlık grevinin kurbanı olan avukat Ebru Timtik’in ölümünü öğrenince şok olduk ve derin üzüntü duyduk. Fransa, hukukun üstünlüğü ve herkesin adil yargılanma hakkı da dahil olmak üzere temel özgürlükler için bu avukatın angajmanını takdir ediyor ve Ebru Timtik’in ailesine, meslektaşlarına ve sevdiklerine taziyelerini sunuyor. Fransa, Türkiye’yi bir kez daha İnsan Hakları ve Temel Özgürlüklerin Korunmasına İlişkin Avrupa Konseyi Sözleşmesi de dahil olmak üzere uluslararası taahhütlerine uymaya çağırıyor. Türkiye’deki tüm sivil toplum temsilcileri ve insan hakları savunucuları aleyhindeki davaları yakından takip etmeye devam edecek ve özellikle 200 günü aşkın açlık grevinde olan avukat Aytaç Ünsal’ın haklarına saygı gösterilerek acil tahliyesini talep etmektedir.
